FBLA: Permission slips for FBLA District Meeting on Oct 5th and Special Olympics on Oct 8th are due to Ms. Hamiliton by Monday, Oct 4th. Special Olympic meeting Mon, Oct 4th @ 3:15, RM 222.

Hot Chocolate and Fresh Donuts will be available in the Library Tomorrow, before school.

Interact Club: The Interact Club has raised $88 so far for Mr. Wood and "Dancing with our Stars." Thanks for your support. The Interact Club will be meeting this Thur. 9/30 @ 3:15 in Rm 212. all are welcome and bring a friend.

Club Renew: Club Renew starts this Thurs. 9/30 in the Conference Room, this meeting will help us get started for the year, so come. If you have any questions ask Kiru.

Yearbook: Students if you are interested in designing a cover for the year book that will be voted on, please submit your design to Mrs. Kennedy or Ms. Bush by Oct 1st.

Seniors: The Senior Class magazine sale is still going on and will g on through Tuesday Oct. 5th. There are collections every Tues. morning in the 4 corners lobby. It would be greatly appreciated if every senior dropped off all of their magazine sales every single Tuesday. Waiting until the last day will cause unnecessary mass confusion. Seniors! Every Tuesday morning be in the lobby with your magazine sales. Thank you.
* On Oct 6 the seniors will be having a fundraiser at Buffalo Wild Wings from 3-10 pm.
For the seniors to get 10% of the profit customers must show a buffalo wil wings ticket. Please grab one from a senior during lunch periods. Any seniors who need tickets pick them up in RM 218.
* Senior Pictures and baby pictures are due NO Later Than November 23rd. The can be turned into Mrs. Kennedy or Ms. Bush

School Newspaper: Any student interested in being on the school newspaper, there will be a brief meeting on Tues. Sept 28th @ 3:15 in Rm 126.

PSAT: Attention Juniors: the PSAT will be administered at EFA pm Wed, Oct 13. The cost is $13.00. Juniors wishing to take the test should bring check, money order, or cash to Mrs. Kiser in the Guidance Office. Make checks payable to "Elmira City School District." The last day to sign up for the PSAT is Oct 8th. This is the only time the PSAT will be offered this year.

The 2011 Torch Yearbook is on sale now! They can be ordered from Mrs. Kennedy or Ms. Bush. Pick up an order form for details.

FBLA: FBLA members involved in the Special Olympics will have a meeting Monday 9/27 in

Open gym tonight for Boys Basketball @ 7:30

Health Class:
Next week the health classes will be collecting food (and $) for the March Out Hunger campaign. Our desire is to make a difference locally in combating the need for food that so many of our neighbors and students face. EFA has never been represented at the March Out Hunger and we are planning on taking a bus of kids to do just that on October 5th at 12:00. If anyone is interested in joining us and has the time, we would be leaving school at 11:15 and returning approximately 1:15. If you are interested in donating food, please drop off your items to 226 (Davis) 228 (Phillips) or the mail room. We will also have students reminding over the announcements, probably holding some contests within departments, etc. If you would just like to donate a couple bucks, that is great too. Please do whatever you can to help this worthy cause. Below are some items they are in need of locally:

National Honors Society: There will b e a NHS Bake Sale Thursday the 23rd.

FBLA: The 1st general meeting of FBLA will be Tues. 9/22 @ 3:15 in RM 222. New members welcomed.

Intramural Volleyball League: Any students interested in the intramural volleyball league. There will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 21 @ 3:15 in the gym. If you are playing a fall sport you are not eligible to participate in the intramural league. Any questions see Mr. Ferris.

Peer Mediators: Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors: if interested in being a Peer Mediator or learning more about the program, see Mrs. Milliken in RM 123.

PSAT: Attention Juniors --- the PSAT will be administered at EFA on Wed. Oct 13th. The cost is $13.oo. Tech Team: Any students interested in joining the tech team should attend the first meeting on Tuesday 9/21 in RM 106.

Juniors: There will be a junior class information meeting available during your lunch periods 5/6 only for hall decorating and Erie Bell assignments.

Wildlife Class: The Wildlife classes will be taking a field trip on 13 Oct to the Bath, NY trout hatchery, the PA Grand Canyon and will stop in Millerton, PA to see a trout nursery/hatchery operated by local people with donated labor. :)

Seniors: Seniors will have a very brief meeting to discuss some senior activities on Friday, Sept 17th at the beginning of 6th period in the auditorium. Everyone interested in participating in the upcoming events needs to attend. *Make sure you are selling magazines. The first turn in date is this Tuesday.

Sophomores: Friday we will have Coffee and Donuts for Sale outside the Library.

Freshman: We need volunteers to see coupon booklets at Bon-Ton on Saturday from 2-4pm. You will get credit for each booklet you sell. See Mrs. Sirianni in RM 229 or Ms. Melens in RM 214B if you are interested ASAP

YearBook: If you are interested in designing a cover for the yearbook that will be voted on, please submit your design to Mrs. Kennedy or Ms. Bush by Oct. 1st. *There are still copies of last year's yearbook available. Please see Ms. Bush in RM 119A for details. *The first yearbook meeting will be held Thursday, Sept. 16th, at 3:30 in RM 119A. *If you are interested in joining the yearbook club, please submit your application to either Mrs. Kennedy or Ms. Bush by Tuesday, Sept. 14th. We also need a few volunteers to work open house on Wednesday, Sept. 15th.







Interact Club: the Interact Club will be meeting for the first time this Thursday after school in RM 212 at 3:15. We will discuss "Dancing with the Elmira Stars," and our international project.
