Morning Announcements

Juniors: Any Junior who is applying to the New Vision program, please see your counselor about the deadlines. The deadline is April 5th.

Sophomores: Any 10th grader who will be applying to a TEC Program needs to get their applications to their counselors.

GSA(Gay, Straight Alliance) : the GSA will be meeting Wed. March 28th. after school in Rm 212.

Tuesday, March 27: Spring Pops Concert 7pm in the Auditorium.

Thursday, March 29th Java Jive in the Library 6pm. $2 admission or a canned good.

Friday, March 30th, Blood Drive in the Library 8am-2pm.

Seniors: Scholarship deadlines are fast approaching. Get your applications in before the deadlines. Twin Tiers Youth for Christ is due March 30th, the Jeff Alexander Scholarship is due by April 2nd, the Cosmopolitan by April 7th and the Junior League of Elmira is due by April 16th. Bring your applications to your counselor. There is money to be made which will be very helpful for those college expenses. come to guidance if you need applications.

Parent/Teacher Conferences March 22nd 4-7pm

Art Club: Art club today at 3:05

Seniors: First Heritage Federal credit Union, is looking for one or two graduating Seniors that will be going to college locally and would like to work in a teller position. Preferably, they would be pursing a degree in business or something related. We would be looking for someone to start sometime in May or June depending on their schedule. This would be a position that would continue during each summer and winter break. Starting pay rate would probably be around $8.75 per hour.

Ladies and Gentlemen, let's get ready for Pi Day!!! the Math department will be giving away four pies to the winners of the Pi day contest. See your math teacher or Ms. Perkins for details in rm 227. Winners will be announced at 3:00pm on Pi day, Wednesday, March 14th.

Dance Thursday: the Freshman class is holding a dance this Thursday from 8-10pm, Tickets will be on sale during lunches and at the dance. PreSales $4.oo and at the door $6.00

Beginning Monday March 12th all cars need to be moved from the Upper Parking Lot at EFA by 3:30. Spring practices will be held in the parking lot. thanks for your assistance.

Yearbook: There will be a yearbook meeting on Friday, march 9th from 3:15 - 4:00. If you can not make it, please let Ms. Bush or Mrs. Kennedy know.

Baseball: There will be a mandatory meeting Friday, March 9th at 3:15 in the gym for varsity and junior varsity baseball players. If you are trying out you must attend this meeting. Schedules and a questionnaire will be handed out.

Key Club: There will be a Key club meeting Monday March 5th after school in rm 125.

Art Club: Art club is meeting today after school to paint play scenery.

Football Players: Attention all football players today starts off-season workout plan in the weight room. Workouts are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday this week. If you are planning to play football next season meet outside of the weight room today shortly after school dressed and ready to work.

Dodgeball tournament: Play on attending EFA vs SHS dodgeball tournament on Friday, March 9th directly after school at SHS.

It is preventable with a vaccine that only costs 60 cents. Please help the Interact Club end Polio in the world by bringing in your pennies and other loose change to your 3rd period class during the month of March. The class with the most donations wins breakfast.
