Morning Announcements

Applications for the Summer Youth Employment Program are still available for Chemung county income eligible youth ages 14-20 in the guidance office or at www.chemungyouth.com.  Don't miss out on your chance for a summer job and apply today.  Deadline to apply is April 30th.  


Seniors:  EFA Project Graduation sign-ups for Seniors will take place in the cafe on Monday and Tuesday April 30th and May 1st. Don't miss out on this fun and rewarding event.


Juniors: Please stop in the library to sign-up for Senior t-shirts.

Track Meet Canceled

The track meet today (4/24) against Horseheads has been cancelled, it has been rescheduled for tomorrow, April 25^th at EFA.

Morning Announcements

Elmira Express Football players;  If any current Elmira Express Football players are interested in going tot he Section 4 Football combine the 1st weekend in May, you need to go see Coach Holleran right after school today in the weight room to pick up the paperwork that needs to be turned in by the end of the week.  If you have any questions he will be available to answer them for you.


Airline Academy:  A representative from the Airline Academy will be in the Main Office conference room Tuesday, April 24th @ 11:00 am.  If you would like to speak with him you can get a pass from your Guidance Counselor.


Bake Sale:  The Interact Club will be holding a Bake Sale in the Cafe, Thursday, April 26th during Lunches.

Juniors: Reminder Pocono Trip money is due this week.

--Names for your Senior T-shirts also needs to be in this week. Come to the library to fill in the form.

3 on 3 Intramural Basketball League will start Tues. May 1st. Students must sign up with Mr. Ferris by Friday April, 27th. 3-5 player team. All games will be played on Tuesdays from 4:15-5:15.

Talent Show: Yes, EFA there will be a Talent Show this Spring. Shine up those dance shoes, warm up your voices and get that guitar out of the attic; it is time to show what you can do. The Second Annual Spring Spectacular Talent show will be Friday, June 1st at 7pm. in the EFA Auditorium. Prizes will be awarded and anyone is welcome to participate. We are looking for dancers, comedians, rappers, bands, vocalists and ventriloquists. There will be a brief informational meeting for anyone interested Friday, April 20 at the beginning of 5th period in the auditorium. Tell your talented friends who don't listen to announcements, THIS FRIDAY. A special note to Seniors, June 1st is Senior Day so it is your big chance to leave your mark at EFA, Class of 2012.

Walk a Mile in My Shoes: The Walk A Mile in My shoes suicide prevention walk is on May 5th from 11am-1pm at Eldridge park. If you are interested, you can register with Mrs. Rundell in RM 226. See walkamile.net for more information.

NAACP Scholarship: The NAACP Scholarship applications are in the Guidance Office. The deadline for applying is April 30th. Hurry down to guidance and get yours.

March for Babies: Southern Tier Chapter of the March of Dimes is sponsoring a walk for the babies on May 12th at 10am in Cornings Riverfront Park. The FBLA would like to send a team. Please see Ms. Hamilton for details.
