Elmira Express Football players;  If any current Elmira Express Football players are interested in going tot he Section 4 Football combine the 1st weekend in May, you need to go see Coach Holleran right after school today in the weight room to pick up the paperwork that needs to be turned in by the end of the week.  If you have any questions he will be available to answer them for you.


Airline Academy:  A representative from the Airline Academy will be in the Main Office conference room Tuesday, April 24th @ 11:00 am.  If you would like to speak with him you can get a pass from your Guidance Counselor.

3 on 3 Intramural Basketball League will start Tues. May 1st. Students must sign up with Mr. Ferris by Friday April, 27th. 3-5 player team. All games will be played on Tuesdays from 4:15-5:15.

Talent Show: Yes, EFA there will be a Talent Show this Spring. Shine up those dance shoes, warm up your voices and get that guitar out of the attic; it is time to show what you can do. The Second Annual Spring Spectacular Talent show will be Friday, June 1st at 7pm. in the EFA Auditorium. Prizes will be awarded and anyone is welcome to participate. We are looking for dancers, comedians, rappers, bands, vocalists and ventriloquists. There will be a brief informational meeting for anyone interested Friday, April 20 at the beginning of 5th period in the auditorium. Tell your talented friends who don't listen to announcements, THIS FRIDAY. A special note to Seniors, June 1st is Senior Day so it is your big chance to leave your mark at EFA, Class of 2012.

Seniors: First Heritage Federal credit Union, is looking for one or two graduating Seniors that will be going to college locally and would like to work in a teller position. Preferably, they would be pursing a degree in business or something related. We would be looking for someone to start sometime in May or June depending on their schedule. This would be a position that would continue during each summer and winter break. Starting pay rate would probably be around $8.75 per hour.

Chemung County Youth Bureau: The Chemung County Youth Bureau is accepting applications for Recreation Leader positions for the 2012 Summer Cohesion Program, which provides recreational, educational and cultural enrichment programming for youth ages 4-12 in Chemung County during the summer. Recreation Leaders must be at least 17 yrs old by July 1st and have current working papers. Candidates must demonstrate experience in working with children and strong consideration will be given to those Volunteering and working with your in our community. Recreation Leaders must also be certified in Adult/Child CPR and First Aid by July 1, 2012.

The Society of Women Engineers are offering scholarships to female high school students who plan to major in engineering or computer science. come to the Guidance Office and check it out.

The Community Foundation Scholarship deadline is Feb. 16th. There are several scholarships available. come to Guidance today and get your applications completed and sent in before the deadline. Every year several of our students are awarded money from them.

A Youth Summit will be held at the YWCA on Feb 21st from 9-1:30. The goal of the summit is to provide a forum for youth to develop ways to address issues of concern and make recommendations for change. Please see your counselor for a permission slip if you would like to attend.

Early excuse/late arrival cards are now ready. They can be picked up from Mrs. Mustico in the upstairs office.
